Attention Shifting language
This will be a very brief introductory look at attention shifting language patterns. It is based on the work “Beyond Words” and “Coaching beyond the I” by John Overdurf, and Mindbending Language (MLB) by Igor Ledochowski, both of which are based on the work of Milton Erickson.
Attention shifting language patterns can be used in formal hypnosis, or more conversational hypnotic styles, as well in cognitive work and even in everyday conversations. Because of its conversational nature it works well in the coaching arena. It can be used in combination with other therapeutic techniques as well as a stand-alone technique and its own.
This will literally be a very brief introductory look at what it is and what can be done with it. It can be very useful in helping people to generate their own solutions to problems rather than pre-prescribed solutions. It helps people to see beyond their present difficulty and opens up various possibilities and areas of thought that they may not have considered.
This workshop will be held on Sunday 20th November 2016 as part of our Annual Conference.
