Narcissism, Narcissists and NPD
20 February 2021 – On Zoom
Presenter:
Kieran Fitzpatrick
We will be approaching this topic from a practical standpoint to maximise the usefulness to us as therapists. We will rarely meet Narcissists as clients, but will regularly meet victims of their behaviours/abuse. And, as always, a good understanding of the abuser will help us to help the abused.
There is a high chance that we have encountered them in our own lives or relationships also and so it is very useful information to us personally. All the details are on our site here.
Virtual Conference 2020
24 October 2020 – On Zoom
Presenter:
Kieran Fitzpatrick
Our very first virtual event! As an organisation we value both top-down (cognitive) and bottom-up therapies. One is more for management and the other (mainly hypnoanalysis in our case) is about profound and lasting change. This is a chance to renew our belief in some of the very special tools we have here. This year’s Conference centres on our exploration of Lifespan Integration™. Probably the best bit of last year’s conference was our first look at Lifespan Integration with their only UK trainer, Mandy Roland-Smith. A year on and we intended to briefly explore how successful it’s been in the consulting room (very!) and how it’s becoming the tool of choice for the people using it. Why the tool of choice? Because it is quick, effective, and… read more

Presenter: Beaula Page
This will be presented for the first time in June as a complete module with workshop content and all the study notes. Beaula says “it is really important that we understand what happens in the brain and body during, and after, trauma and abuse so that we can understand our clients’ symptoms better and educate them about it so that they can start shifting their perspective from that of being inherently defective, wrong, or bad somehow, and start to realise that they can resolve their problems.” Read more
